Public Water Supply Division
The Town Of Cramerton water system is operated and maintained by two crew members with a total combined length of service of forty-nine years, Douglas Green with eighteen years and Charles Hastings with thirty-one years.
The water system contains approximately thirty-two miles of water lines ranging in size from two inches to sixteen inches with one hundred-seventy-one fire hydrants.
We have approximately fifteen hundred service connections. The Town does not produce its own water. We purchase water from the City of Gastonia. Cramerton purchases between ten and twelve million gallons a month.
The water department budget for the 2005-2006 fiscal year is $725,080.00.
