Directors Message DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE Dear Community Friends, I want to thank each person that has participated, volunteered, or coached in one of our activities or athletic programs. For those who have not had a chance to be part of our programs, come out and enjoy. We are constantly seeking your input and encourage you to contact us regarding any of the programs or activities that you would like to participate in or would like to see offered. Some of the highlights this year will be Easter egg hunt, End of school blow-out, Movies in the gym, Fall carnival, Dances, Turkey shoot, Christmas parade, Breakfast with Santa, and Mayworth Festival. Let us know what you think about having a Father-Daughter dance, Mother-Son dance, or a Mother-Daughter Makeover. Riverside Park is now open. The park now offers a Fishing pier, canoe launch, and trails, parking and new lighting. . Cramerton was awarded A $500,000 PARTF grant that will be used for the construction of Goat Island. Goat Island is a 29-acre Island located in the heart of Cramerton and surrounded by the South Fork of the Catawba River. Amenities planned for the island includes: Amphitheater, playgrounds, 9-hole disc golf, 2 picnic shelters, walking trails, fishing pier, and canoe launch. HOW TO REGISTER Walk In….Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis until the end of a registration period. After the end date, you will be placed on a waiting list and taken on an as needed basis only. It is the decision of the parks and recreation staff to determine this need. A minimum and maximum number needed to hold the class or activity has been set for each. Please register as soon as possible to prevent cancellation due to insufficient participation.
